I teach ESL at a community college. I end classes with 15 minutes of themed bingos, and for the "bird" bingo, winners had a selection of bird toppers (owl, turkey, penguin, flamingo) with matching pencils (I got pink pencils for the flamingo toppers). No surprise, the flamingo was the #1 choice and they disappeared fast! Seriously! I can't attest to their erasure properties; they seem effective, but who cares! The students just love having them on the desk--they're too pretty to use. Many of my students are moms...so you know who got these beautiful toppers (and I'm sure the giddy recipients showed them off the next day to the other--envious--kids at school). Wish they sold them in a bucket of 144, but this site (Carnival Source) has the best price.
