Fun Tubes for a Great Price

These tubes are fun and the price is great. I have used them for years to teach physics at the university level. These particular tubes are the first I have encountered in my over 4 decades of teaching that can produce the first harmonic, i.e., the lowest possible tone - if you twirl them most gently. Amazing. In all, you can easily get four tones with these tubes: harmonics 1, 2, 3, 4 as you twirl them faster and faster. With the Arbor Scientific more flexible tubes that are 39 inches long, I get harmonics 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and can get 7 if I twirl fast enough. The 2001 theme begins with 2-3-4-6. which I play for my students (https://youtu.be/GLHV1qG4xdc).So I need both types of tubes to teach physics most effectively. My grandkids love them and don't care about the harmonics. So the Carnival Source tubes make excellent party gifts and I highly recommend them.
